Vintage 60s Soviet USSR Russian Language Textbook Illustrated School Book School

Vintage 1960 Soviet Russian-language elementary school textbook by N. A. Kostin, published in Moscow by the State Educational-Pedagogical Publishing House of the Ministry of Education of the RSFSR. Titled — 1- (Russian Language Textbook for Primary School, Grade 1). Eighth edition, with charming period illustrations throughout and a colourful educational paper insert included.

The book covers grammar, spelling and speech development for first-grade students and offers a fascinating look at Soviet-era childhood education. Interior illustrations show school life, winter activities and everyday scenes, while the separate insert features brightly coloured geometric shapes and objects intended for classroom or learning activities.

Title page is stamped "Printed in USSR."

Condition: Well-used vintage condition. Significant cover and edge wear, rubbing, corner wear and age-related marks. There is handwriting on the inside cover/endpaper. Binding shows separation and looseness, particularly near the illustrated opening pages, and some pages have edge wear. The included colour insert has folds, tears and general age wear.
